Brandon Boykin
Football * Sophomore * 5-10
Fayetteville, Georgia

Georgia sophomore return specialist/cornerback, Brandon Boykin, played a key role in the Bulldogs 41-37 victory over South Carolina in the SEC opener for both schools.

Boykin accounted for 187 yards on four(4) kickoff returns, including a 100-yard touchdown return. The 100-yard return is the longest in Georgia history and tied the Bulldogs with South Carolina at 7-7 in the first quarter.

His single game total yards of 187 ranks 2nd in Georgia history just falling short of the school record held by Scott Woerner of 190 yards vs. Kentucky in 1977.

Brandon also tallied four(4) sold tackles and recorded his first interception of the season in this past Saturday’s game.

In recognition of these accomplishments, Brandon was named the SEC Football Special Teams Player of the Week.
