SEC Television Package

SEC TELEVISION PACKAGEThe Southeastern Conference recently announced an historic television package with CBS and ESPN, which will provide unprecedented exposure for a collegiate athletics conference and ensure that SEC fans across the nation will have more access to their teams than ever before. The 15-year agreements begin next season (2009-10). Some of the highlights include the following:

| FOOTBALL | |
| CBS will televise a national SEC game of the week and the SEC Championship Game. It will select all of its games before ESPN. | |
| ESPN has acquired rights to every other SEC home football game (excluding those on CBS) and will serve as the exclusive national cable home and the syndication rights-holder for the SEC, as well as produce an in-season weekly studio show, and pre-/post-season specials: | |
| ESPN and ESPN2 will continue to offer premier SEC games, including Saturday night and two prime time Thursday football games. A minimum of 20 SEC games will be shown annually. | |
| ESPNU will have a Saturday game-of-the-week, generally in prime time and a minimum of 13 games annually. | |
| ESPN Classic may telecast select SEC games live as well as encore presentations. | |
| ESPN Regional Television (ERT) will replace Raycom as the new over-the-air syndication home for SEC football and will feature a game-of-the-week package (generally at 12:30 p.m. ET). A minimum of 13 games will air each season throughout the SEC home states and beyond. These games will air on a series of TV affiliates (similar to what Raycom featured). | |
| In addition, a limited number of games may be offered by ESPN on a regional cable basis (to be determined), which is currently in place with the Fox Sports Net family of networks. | |
| Each school will have up to, but no more than, 1 game to be televised on a pay-per-view basis in the home states of the participating schools. This game will be determined by ESPN and approved by the school. | |
| ESPN GamePlan will offer all regional and pay-per-view games to fans outside of SEC home states. Simulcasts of SEC game telecasts will be offered on ESPN 360.com, the broadband network. Selected live games will be simulcast on ESPN Mobile TV for mobile phones. | |
| MEN'S BASKETBALL | |
| CBS will broadcast regular-season SEC basketball games, including 5-6 SEC conference games and 4 non-conference games. | |
| ESPN has acquired rights to SEC basketball (excluding those on CBS) and will serve as the exclusive national cable home and the syndication rights-holder. ESPN will produce an in-season weekly studio show, and pre-/post-season specials. Between the ESPN family of networks, over-the-air syndication, and regional cable networks, every SEC conference game and many non-conference games will be televised: | |
| ESPN and ESPN2 will triple their SEC basketball telecasts with three nights (two new) of games. A minimum of 24 SEC conference games plus an additional six non-conference game broadcasts will air nationally on ESPN and/or ESPN2. SEC games will continue to air on ESPN's Super Tuesday as well as new SEC slots on Thursdays and Saturdays (ESPN or ESPN2). | |
| ESPN on ABC will air a minimum of 2 regular-season games each season plus national telecasts of the SEC Tournament semifinals and finals. | |
| ESPN Regional Television (ERT) will replace Raycom as the new over-the-air syndication home for SEC basketball games. These games will air as Sat. doubleheaders and on Wed. nights on a series of TV affiliates (similar to what Raycom featured). | WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | |
| SEC teams will make a minimum of 16 appearances on ESPN or ESPN2, and the SEC Tournament Championship will air on either ESPN or ESPN2. ESPN will produce pre-/post-season specials. | |
| SEC teams will make a minimum of 16 appearances on ESPNU, and the SEC Tournament Semifinals will air on ESPNU. | |
| ESPN Regional (ERT) will televise a game-of-the-week during the regular season as well as the first two rounds of the SEC Tournament. These games will air on affiliates to be announced. | |

| OLYMPIC SPORTS/OTHER PROGRAMMING | |
ESPN and ESPN2 will televise the following events each season:

ESPNU will televise a minimum of 25 regular-season events, including volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, baseball, and softball. It will also air the following championships:

| In addition, ESPN and the SEC will work together to offer multi-sport packages on a regional cable basis (to be determined), which is currently in place with the Fox Sports Net family of networks (i.e. Comcast, FSN Florida, FSN South, and FSN Southwest). | |
| ESPN shall produce a weekly show (41 weeks) about SEC athletics, as well as two one-hour specials focusing on the academic achievements of SEC member institutions and their students. ESPN will provide the technology and infrastructure to create an on-line SEC academic interactive platform. | |
| GEORGIADOGS.COM | |
| GeorgiaDogs.com will produce a daily news highlight show that will be free for all users. Event highlights will also be aired following select events for all users to view. GeorgiaDogs.com will also produce several feature stories per week on student-athletes, coaches and Georgia Athletics Association members. G-Xtra, GeorgiaDogs.com's subscription service, will live video stream over 50 live events not available on any TV network. Subscriptions to G-Xtra begin at $9.95 per month. Archives of live events will be available free of charge. Archives of Coaches' shows will be available only as part of the G-Xtra subscription service. Audio streams of football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball and other select events will be audio streamed as part of the G-Xtra subscription service. | |
