August 26, 2009 | General
ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Georgia Athletic Association revealed a newly designed web site, www.georgiadogs.com, today. The re-launch represents new partnerships between the Bulldogs, ISP, America's Home for College Sports and NeuLion.
”We are excited to bring a bigger and bolder georgiadogs.com to life,” said Athletics Director Damon Evans. “Our website is our daily connection to the Bulldog Nation and we are pleased to provide our fans with numerous enhancements that will allow the greatest access to our program.”

The team's re-launched site, powered by its Digital Media Partner NeuLion, includes expanded video sections, daily sports news video features, improved live event video streaming, rich text content features from TV and radio personalities as well as an engaging new web site design that will give fans better access to information. Fans will be able to relive the athletic and academic glory of the Bulldogs in the site's multimedia section, which features numerous clips of past and present Georgia greats. Daily video highlights and news will be available on the 7-day-a-week Georgia Sports Daily so fans can get their news in a short video segment each day. Fans will also see a change with the way the multimedia player and live stats display look and feel.
While the majority of content will be free to all users, a select amount of archived content and most live content will be available on the GXtra premium package. Many events streamed live as part of the exclusive GXtra membership, will be made free to the public in their archived state upon completion.

Flash-based technology will allow fans to click on buttons in sections traditionally reserved just for just images. Buttons to related headlines, video and related links are available in the new dynamic headline area bringing more information just a click away. The dynamic lead area also allows for interactive splash presentations lessening the need for burdensome intro splash pages and pop up ads.
The partnership with ISP Sports has created a New Media team in Athens. The team includes nine members and brings with it over 100 years of experience in the TV, Radio and Internet fields. These members will be afforded access to the teams and coaches like never before and will bring it directly to the fans on georgiadogs.com.
