Equestrian Welcomes Transfer Hayley Haskins

University of Georgia Equestrian coach Meghan Boenig on Monday announced that Hayley Haskins, a talented and accomplished all-around rider, is transferring into the Bulldog program and will be eligible to compete in the coming 2010 season.
Haskins, from Alpharetta, Ga., spent the past year attending Georgia Perimeter College. She is a 2008 graduate of Saint Francis High School in Alpharetta. Capable and accomplished in all riding disciplines, Haskins will likely compete for the Bulldogs in the Horsemanship events.
"We're very excited that Hayley has decided to join our program," Boenig said. "We've been following her career for several years now. She has the dedication, maturity and Bulldog spirit that will enable her to become a successful rider at this level. We think Hayley will be a great addition to our corps of Western riders."
Haskins has a number of top honors, including a Reserve World Championship at the World Paint Horse Show, as well as several Top Ten and Top Five finishes. She’s also earned her Youth Register of Merit in many events, including Showmanship, Reining, Halter, Western Pleasure and Horsemanship.
Haskins joins four other Western signees that will join the Georgia program this month: Michelle Fulcher of Stockbridge, Ga.; Melanie Galbraith of Rocky Mount, N.C.; Becca Haaland of Edmond, Okla.; and Maria Salazar of Portland, Ore.
