Taylor Schlopy Selected To USA Softball Japan Cup Team

OKLAHOMA CITY – The University of Georgia's Taylor Schlopy was selected to the USA Softball Japan Cup Team according to an announcement made by the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) on Monday.
The ASA announced three teams that will represent the USA Softball Women's National team program during the 2009 summer season. The three teams were chosen following a selection camp held last week in Chula Vista, Calif.
The USA Softball Women’s National Team will compete at both the Canada Cup in Surrey, B.C., and the KFC World Cup of Softball presented by Six Flags in Oklahoma City, Okla. The team will be coached by head coach Jay Miller and assistants Gordon Eakin, Ken Eriksen, Barbara Jordan.

The 2009 USA Softball Japan Cup team will compete at the Japan Cup in Sendai, Japan, July 31- Aug.2. Leading the team will be head coach Miller and assistant coaches Suzy Brazney, Chuck D’Arcy and Jordan.
