| Taylor Schlopy Softball* P/OF Sophomore Sophomore Taylor Schlopy was honored as a member of the ESPN The Magazine All-District Team for softball on Thursday. Her selection the team is the first all-district honoree for the Bulldogs since 2007. Schlopy, an All-Southeastern Conference First Team selection, is currently batting .423 with 12 home runs and 36 RBI, and she ranks first nationally in runs scored per game at 1.33. On the base paths, Schlopy has stolen 18 bases in 19 attempts. She was recently named the SEC Player of the Week on May 4 following her performance at The Georgia Bulldogs were selected as a No. 1 seed for the Chapel Hill Regional and the sixth overall national seed in the 28th annual NCAA Division I Softball Championships, the NCAA announced Sunday. Hosted by the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Chapel Hill Regional will take place May 14-16 and will feature Georgia (39-10), host UNC (45-11), Campbell (38-14), and Radford (40-13). | |
