No. 1 Bulldogs Move To Seventh Place In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS --- The top-ranked Georgia men’s golf team improved to seventh place after round two of the Southern Highlands Collegiate.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs shot a four-under-par 284 at the Southern Highland Golf Club to move to 11-over 587. Georgia is 26 shots behind No. 3 Oklahoma State, who is leading the tournament at 15-under 561.
Sophomore Russell Henley led Georgia’s second-round effort with a 3-under 69. Senior Adam Mitchell signed for a 2-under 70, followed by sophomore Harris English at 1-under 71, and senior Brian Harman had a 2-over 74. Hudson Swafford had the Bulldogs’ non-counting score of 10-over 82. Freshman Will Kropp, playing as an individual, carded an even-par 72.
Harman is pacing the Bulldogs in the individual standings at 2-over 146, twelve shots behind Oklahoma State’s Morgan Hoffmann. Mitchell and Henley are tied for 25th at 3-over 147, English is tied for 61st at 10-over 154 and Swafford is tied for 72nd at 14-over 158. Kropp is tied for 44th at 7-over 151.
