In Saturday's morning match-up of the Cathedral City Kickoff, senior pitcher Christie Hamilton did not disappoint. Hamilton threw a no hitter in an 8-0 win over Cal State Northridge to lead the #22 Lady Bulldogs.

This was Hamilton’s first career no hitter. The great performance came in less than ideal conditions as play was suspended in the top of the fourth inning due to rain, yet, the weather was not enough to deter the senior. She recorded nine strikeouts and only one walk in what became her first victory of the season.

Christie Hamilton is coming off a great junior season in which she made 30 appearances including 20 starts and 10 complete games (141.2 total innings) to collect a record of 15-5 and an ERA of 3.61.

The softball team returns home to host the Second-Annual Red & Black Showcase this weekend (Feb. 13-15). Their first game will be at 6:00PM against Longwood on February 13^th.
