Ashley Houts is a senior guard from Trenton, GA.

Houts led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring per game and assists per game last season, averaging 12 points per game and 4.7 assists per game, respectively. Her assists ranked her 4th among all of the players in the SEC. Houts averaged 37.7 minutes per game and was a key part of the team’s success last season.

Also last season, Houts was named to the All-SEC second team and was named the SEC Player of the Week twice.

Houts played for the U.S. National Team over the summer, helping the team to win gold when they competed at the World University Games in Belgrade, Siberia. The summer event provided Houts with great playing experience as she prepared for the 2009-2010 season.

Houts will play an integral part for the Lady Bulldogs this season as they prepare for their quest to the NCAA tournament.
