July 21, 2002 - Kara Braxton scores 13 points to help lead the U.S. Young Women's National Team to an 81-50 victory over Brazil in the gold medal game of the inaugural COPABA World Championship For Young Women Qualifying Tournament. Braxton was one of the leading performers for the U.S. team throughout its six-game schedule in Brazil. She reached double figures in the scoring column in each contest.

July 21, 2004 - Former football All-America Terry Hoage inducted into 2004 Academic All-America Hall of Fame, Georgia's first-ever inductee.
