July 20, 1997 - Ryuji Imada finished second to Tim Clark at the U.S. Public Links Championship.

July 20, 2001 - David Perno is hired as head coach of the Georgia baseball team.

July 30, 2008  - Claude Felton, University of Georgia Associate Athletic Director and longtime Sports Communications Director, was honored  as the 2008 recipient of the Football Writers Association of America’s Bert McGrane Award.
