June 27, 1976 - Former Georgia star James Barrineau leapt a career-best 7-4 5/8 to finish third in the high jump at the U.S. Olympic Trials and qualify for the Olympic Games in Montreal, where he placed 11th overall.

June 27, 2001 - Matias Boeker was named the Southeastern Conference Male Athlete of the Year.
