Whitfield, Cearley Promoted To Director Positions

ATHENS, Ga. --- Tim Cearley, Ticket Operations Manager for the UGA Athletic Association since 2004, and Peggy Whitfield, UGAA's Human Resources Coordinator for the past seven years, have been promoted to Director positions in their respective departments, according to an announcement Tuesday by Athletic Director Damon Evans.
Cearley, an Athens native, is beginning his ninth year in the UGA Ticket Office. He was named Ticket Manager in July of 2004, after serving the previous four years as Assistant Ticket Manager. In his current position, he oversees all facets of the Ticket Office, including ticket sales for football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and gymnastics.
Whitfield began her employment with the Athletic Association in August of 1990 as Personnel Assistant II and was promoted to Personnel Specialist in 2000. She was named Human Resources Coordinator in February of 2001. In her current position, she manages all aspects of human resources, including payroll, employee benefits, training and development.
