May 31, 2001 - The University of Georgia track and field team grabbed an individual title on May 31 at the 2001 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field in Eugene. Junior Andras Haklits won his second NCAA hammer throw title, taking the victory with a throw of 75.50 meters (247'8").

May 31, 2004 - Bo Hodge and John Isner finish as national doubles runners-up at NCAA Men's Tennis Championships.

May 31, 2009 – Softball team reaches the final three at the Women’s College World Series.  Team finishes as the nation’s top team in fielding percentage (.981).
