May 24, 2001 - Men's tennis head coach Manuel Diaz was named the Wilson/ITA National Coach of the Year. It was the second time Diaz had received the accolade after being honored in 1995.

May 24, 2002 - Senior Angela Jerman and junior Summer Sirmons post scores of 70 and 74, respectively, in the final round of the NCAA Championships to help the Lady Bulldogs to their fifth-straight top-10 finish at the nationals. In the team field, Georgia finishes fifth. Individually, Sirmons ties for second in the individual field at 4-under 284, while Jerman places sixth at 3-under 285.
