May 19, 2006 - The Georgia Educational Enhancement Fund (GEEF) is renamed the William C. Hartman, Jr. Fund in honor of lifelong loyal Bulldog supporter Bill Hartman.

May 19, 2006 - The UGA Athletic Association pledges $2 million to the University's "Archway to Excellence" capital campaign to both endow professorships and help fund institutional diversity initiatives.

May 19, 2009 -- Women's tennis head coach Jeff Wallace becomes first coach in the country to ever be named ITA National Coach Of The Year four times. Also, Georgia freshman Chelsey Gullickson named ITA National Rookie of the Year.
