April 8, 1998 -The Georgia women's basketball team signed Tawana McDonald of Flint, Michigan, who helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to the Final Four in her first season.

April 8, 1999 - Georgia captures an unprecedented third consecutive SEC Championship in women's golf, easily outdistancing the field by 18 shots. Shauna Estes leads the way for the Lady Bulldogs, winning medalist honors for the second time in her career to become only the second woman ever to claim two SEC individual titles.

April 8, 2001 - The men's tennis team defeated Auburn 4-3 to win the program's 21st Southeastern Conference Championship. It is the most SEC titles by any program in that span. Freshman Bo Hodge clinched the match at the No. 1 singles position.
