April 6, 2008 - The No. 3-ranked University of Georgia men's tennis team clinched the outright 2008 Southeastern Conference Regular-Season Championship Sunday with a 7-0 victory over Vanderbilt. Georgia has now won 32 total SEC championships in men's tennis. The regular-season crown is Georgia's 25th, the most of any school in the conference.

April 6, 1997 - Sabrina Touchberry established a Georgia softball record with five RBIs in one game as the Bulldogs beat Kentucky 13-8. Touchberry had an inside-the-park grand slam and a sacrifice fly on the day.
