April 22, 2001 - The top-seeded men's tennis team defeated second-seeded Tennessee 4-3 to win the 2001 SEC Tournament hosted by Kentucky. It was the Bulldogs seventh straight tournament final appearance and first tournament title since 1995. Lesley Joseph clinched the final match for Georgia, earning tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

April 22, 2005 - On this day, the Gym Dogs won the program's sixth gymnastics NCAA title with a 197.825 team score in Auburn, Alabama. It was the first meet in Georgia history that no Gym Dog scored lower than a 9.8 on any event.
