April 21, 2001 - Cory Fritzinger became the 14th Georgia gymnast to capture the NCAA individual title when she won the NCAA vault title. She became the first Gym Dog freshman to capture an NCAA title since both Kelly Macy (bars) and Hope Spivey (all-around, vault, floor exercise) accomplished the feat in 1991.
April 21, 2003 - Swimmer Robert Margalis named SEC Male Swimmer of the Year and Mary DeScenza named SEC Female Freshman of the Year.
April 21, 2004 - Senior track and field athlete Corrie Drakulich named 2004 Peach of an Athlete by the Atlanta Area Council Boy Scouts of America at the 21st Annual Role Model Awards Banquet in Atlanta.
April 21, 2004 - Georgia Director of Athletics Vince Dooley named recipient of the 2004 John L. Toner Award presented annually by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame to an athletic director who has demonstrated superior administrative abilities and shown outstanding dedication to college athletics, particularly college football.
