March 29, 2008 -In possibly the most bizarre ending to a Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Championship, the top-ranked Georgia Gym Dogs edged out Florida and Alabama in front of a record SEC Championship crowd of 9,022 at the Gwinnett Arena on Saturday to claim their 16th conference title.
March 29, 1996 - Matt Buck won the NCAA title in the 200-yard breaststroke in 1:56.62, becoming the first Georgia male national champion since Reid Patterson in 1953.
