March 27, 1983 - The Georgia men's basketball team upset defending national champion North Carolina 82-77 in the East Regional final to advance to its first Final Four.

March 27, 2004 - Women's basketball team defeats Purdue to advance to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight for the 10th time in Andy Landers' 25 seasons at Georgia. It also marked the 15th time the Lady Dogs have won 25 or more games under Landers.

March 27, 2004 - Men's swimming team finishes 10th an NCAA Championships.

March 27, 2005 - Todd McCorkle named SEC Women's Golf Coach of the Year.
