March 26, 1984 - Former Georgia star Nanci Bowen fired a 2-under 70 to hold off Nancy Lopez and Laura Davies and win her first LPGA event, the prestigious Nabisco Dinah Shore.

March 26, 2005 - On this day, the Gym Dogs won the program's 14th gymnastics SEC title with a 197.250 team score in Duluth, Ga. Freshman Katie Heenan won the all-around with a score of 39.625.

March 26, 2008 - Georgia softball head coach Lu Harris-Champer posted her 599th and 600th collegiate-career head coaching victories with a Southeastern Conference, double-header sweep of the Ole Miss Rebels. The Bulldogs (32-8, 5-3 SEC) provided Harris-Champer with career victory number 599 with a 4-2 game-one win over the Rebels (15-17, 0-11 SEC), and then Harris-Champer reached her 600th career win with a 3-0 victory in game two.
