March 23, 1985 - The Georgia women's basketball team topped No. 3 Long Beach State 97-82 in the NCAA West Regional final to advance to their second Final Four.


March 23, 2003 - Swimmer Maritza Correia won the 100-yard freestyle at the NCAA Championships in American-record time to claim her 11th NCAA title (5 individual, 6 relay) < the most overall national titles for an Georgia swimmer.
