March 10, 1984 - Linda Detlefsen became Georgia's first female track and field national champion by winning the 1,500-meter run at the 1984 NCAA Indoor Championships in 4:21.32.

March 10, 2006 - Junior Jennifer Dahlgren won the weight throw title at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. Dahlgren, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, clinched the win with her first throw of 75 feet, 6.50 inches and then launched a throw of 78-10.50 on her final throw of the meet, which was the second-longest throw in NCAA history.
