January 24, 2008 - Ashley Houts scored a career-high 25 points and Tasha Humphrey added 23 as Georgia defeated Florida, 82-55, to give Andy Landers his 700th victory with the Lady Bulldogs. Landers became just the eighth Division I coach to reach that plateau and only the third to secure 700 victories at one school.

January 24, 1981 - Freshman sprinter Herschel Walker made his indoor track debut in the 60-yard dash. Walker ran well, but lost to Olympic legend Carl Lewis.
