January 20, 1996 - Saudia Roundtree scored 29 points and pulled down 10 rebounds on her way to National Player of the Year honors as Georgia's women's basketball team defeated No. 10 Penn State 79-78 in State College, Pa.

January 20, 1996 - The Gabrielsen Natatorium is dedicated in memory of former head coach, "Bump" Gabrielsen. "Bump" led the Bulldog swim team from 1948-1966.
