January 15, 1996 - The Georgia women's basketball team got a huge road victory over No. 3 Connecticut, 75-67, as National Player of the Year Saudia Roundtree led the way with 27 points.
January 15, 2001 - Ezra Williams, Georgia's 6-4 sophomore guard, was named today as the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, according to an announcement by the league office in Birmingham.
January 15, 2009- Georgia (11-6) raced to a double-digit lead less than six minutes into the first half and never looked back en route to a 74-28 victory over the Tigers (3-14) at Stegeman Coliseum. Landers improved to 800-252 in 34 seasons as a collegiate head coach - 82-21 in four seasons at Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tenn., and 218-232 in 30 campaigns in Athens. He is the fifth Division I coach to compile 800 victories and ascended to the milestone in the second-fastest progression.January 15, 2009 -- Dr. Kathy McMinn, the former gymnast who was the first Georgia student-athlete to be named All-American four straight years, presented with NCAA Silver Anniversary Award at NCAA convention.
