September 27, 2004 - Former Georgia Lady Bulldog Kelly Miller, playing for the WNBA's Indiana Fever, named the league's Most Improved Player.

September 27, 2002 - Janet Harris, Zippy Morocco, and George Patton were inducted into the Circle of Honor. Fred Farrah, Leon Farmer, Don Leeburn, and Jack Turner were inducted into the inaugural Circle of Distinction.

September 27, 1997 - The All-American tennis duo of John Roddick and Steven Baldas defeated the second-ranked team of Tim Crichton and Tom Hamilton 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 to win the doubles title at the ITA Clay Court Championships.

September 27, 1996 - A record crowd of 2,259 watched the UGA women's soccer team go head to head with the University of Florida. Although the bulldogs lost 1-0 on a miraculous header, the bulldogs fought hard in front of this record crowd.
