ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia football team began continued preparations for the upcoming game with Western Carolina by working out for two hours on Wednesday at the Woodruff Practice Fields.

Georgia coach Mark Richt said the Bulldogs looked much better today compared to Tuesday’s session.

“I saw some signs of life today, they started to respond and that was good” said Richt. “We’ll go in shorts Thursday, it will be our normal dress rehearsal, the plan is in and we’ll ready to go.”

When asked about the status of a couple starters (safety Kelin Johnson and cornerback Bryan Evans) for Saturday, Richt said they remain questionable to play due to injuries. Richt added that the Bulldogs continue to develop depth at linebacker and praised the recent play of reserves Marcus Washington and Darryl Gamble

Georgia (1-1) will take on Western Carolina (0-2) on Saturday at Sanford Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be available as a pay-per-view broadcast by Comcast Sports Southeast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). Viewers may order the game through their local, participating cable provider for $29.99. The game will be made available to cable providers throughout the state. Matt Stewart will handle the play-by-play duties, while former Georgia quarterback Buck Belue will provide the analysis. All Georgia games are broadcast live on the Bulldog Radio Network on AM 750 WSB in Atlanta and on both 106.1 FM and 960 The Ref in Athens. The radio audio also can be heard worldwide on both georgiadogs.com, the official website of UGA Athletics, and on XM Satellite Radio.
