USA U21 Sqaud Rolls Past Brazil At World Championships

MOSCOW, Russia -- A day after struggling against Australia in its opening game at the 2007 FIBA U21 World Championships, the USA U21 National Team easily defeated Brazil, 96-40, in Group B action on Saturday.

Georgia's Ashley Houts scored seven points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out an assist in 19 minutes of action in the victory. Maryland's Crystal Langhorne paced the Americans' scoring efforts with 19 points while connecting on all nine of her shots from the field.

The U.S. opened up a 24-8 lead following the first quarter and expanded that margin to 54-13 at halftime

The Americans, already the only undefeated team in Group B, will face Hungary on Sunday. The Hungarians defeated Japan on Friday before losing to Australia by 10 points on Saturday.
