'Red, White & Blog': Tasha Humphrey Journal Entry #3

July 21, 2007 | Women's Basketball

Hi Bulldog fans,

Last night we had our first game against Colombia and we won 95-41. As a team, we played extremely well on both sides of the ball. I have come to realize that the only people who like Americans are Americans. There were thousands of people cheering. They just so happened to be cheering against us. It was kind of like a trip to Knoxville but in Portuguese. :)

We play Argentina tonight and it should be much better competition. They played Cuba in a close overtime game last night. So hopefully, they will come in tired tonight and we will be able to put them away early.

I have loved every second of Brazil but I'm not going to lie to you...I am ready to go home!!! Its been fun meeting different people from different sports and different countries. The thing that has really made this trip special to me is just being around good people. I love everyone from the top of our roster to the bottom. We had a team karaoke party and a team dance contest and I would tell you who won but you should already know :)

I'm going to go kill some time and probably sleep until pre-game. So I will let you know how the game goes either tonight or tomorrow. Talk to you later.
