June 5, 2004 - UGA Athletic Association announces the establishment of a new professorship in horticulture that will bear the name of outgoing Athletic Director Vince Dooley.

June 5, 2006 - Eighth-ranked Georgia advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals with a 3-2 win over Florida State in front of 3,612 at Foley Field. For the Bulldogs, it marks their third trip to the Super Regionals since 2001.
