May 4, 1999- Vigdis Gudjonsdottir wins the javelin competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Boise, Idaho, recording a personal-best of 182-3 to claim the national title by nearly five feet over the rest of the field.

May 4, 2003 - Georgia wins its first-ever women's softball SEC Championship.

May 4, 2004 - Swimming and diving coach Jack Bauerle named SEC Women's Coach of the Year for the eighth time.
