Georgia Softball Hosts Ole Miss In Doubleheader On Wednesday

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia Bulldogs (36-24, 6-14 SEC) return to action on Wednesday when they host the Ole Miss Rebels (21-29, 10-13 SEC) in a two-game set. First pitch for Wednesday’s twinbill is slated for 4 p.m. EST. Georgia leads the all-time series by a 19-7 record. The Bulldogs have posted a three-game sweep over the Rebels in each of the past three seasons. The Bulldogs compiled a 3-3 mark last week after posting a doubleheader sweep over Furman and dropping two of three games to Mississippi State. Georgia posted a doubleheader split with MSU on Saturday before dropping Sunday’s rubber match. Kellie Middleton paced Georgia’s offense last weekend after going a combined 7-for-11 (.636) with four runs, three RBI, and three stolen bases. The senior from Norcross, Ga., currently leads the team in batting average (.365), runs (42), hits (66), triples (4), and stolen bases (41). Fans will be able to enjoy Dollar Dog Night at softball this Wednesday, also beginning at 4:00pm. Hot Dogs will be sold for $1 each at the concession stands. All other regular concession items will also be on sale as they are for all home games.
