SEC-TV To Profile Bulldog Legend Dan Magill

April 18, 2007 | General

Dubbed one of the greatest ambassadors of college tennis, former University of Georgia men’s tennis coach Dan Magill officially retired from the Bulldog athletic department in September of 1995, ending a 59-year association that began in the 1930s when Magill was a batboy for the baseball team. Jenn Hildreth heads to Athens to visit with this living legend, who coached the Bulldogs from 1955 to 1988 and is nationally known for building the country’s finest collegiate tennis facility, a facility that now bears his name.

The show will air on Thursday’s SEC-TV (April 19 at 6:30 p.m. ET on FSN South and April 21 at 11:30 a.m. ET on SportSouth).
