December 12, 1980 - The Georgia women's basketball team downed Tulsa 97-79 to make Andy Landers the winningest women's basketball coach in school history in only his 34th game.

December 12, 2004 - Georgia defensive end David Pollack becomes Georgia's first winner of the Ronnie Lott Trophy given annually to the nation's defensive impact player of the year.
