December 10, 1984 - The Georgia gymnastics team won its first meet under new coach Suzanne Yoculan, a 180-177.85 decision over Jacksonville State.

December 10, 2002 - Football Coach Mark Richt was named SEC Coaches' SEC Coach of the Year. 11 players were named to the All-SEC team, with 8 earning first team honors, setting a school record.

December 10, 2002 - Football player Jon Stinchcomb was named one of five recipients of the National Football Foundation Post-Graduate Scholarship.
