November 9, 1974 - The UGA football team defeated the Florida Gators in a game that was decided on the final play. With a 17-16 lead, the Georgia defensive stuffed the Florida offensive on a game winning 2 point conversion. Keith Harris's blitz saved the day for the Dawgs.

November 9, 1985 - Freshman backs Keith Henderson and Tim Worley rushed for 145 and 125 yards, respectively, as No. 17 Georgia shocked No. 1 Florida 24-3 in Jacksonville. Defensive end Greg Waters had 13 tackles, a sack and two pass breakups as the Bulldog defense held the Gators to a mere 28 yards rushing.

November 9. 1996 - Sports Illustrated tabs the Lady Bulldog basketball team as its pre-season favorite to capture the National Championship and features Saudia Roundtree in its SI Presents College Basketball Preview publication.
