November 17, 1962 - Bill McCullough booted a 48-yard field goal as the UGA football team upset Auburn, 30-21. Larry Rakestraw tossed three TD’s to Don Porterfield as the Dawgs made a sensational second half comeback.

November 17, 1977 - UGA women’s soccer team made their first appearance in the NCAA tournament in a game against the Clemson Tigers. Although Clemson won 1-0, this was a memorable day in UGA athletics.
