November 14, 1959 - #12 Georgia Bulldogs defeated #3 Auburn Tigers, 14-13, in a game that went down to the wire. With less than a minute left, Fran Tarkenton found Bill Herron to tie the game at 13. Durward Pennington kicked the extra point to win the game for the relentless Bulldogs, capturing the 1959 SEC Championship.

November 14, 1970 - The UGA football team were on top of their game as they knocked off very good Auburn team on the road. This astounding upset of 31-17 was sealed by a late Ricky Lake TD from 4-yards out.

November 14, 1995 - UGA women's basketball team was ranked No. 2 in the AP pre-season Top 25. Also, Woodward Academy guard Kiesha Brown, considered one of the best high school prospects in the country, signed a letter-of-intent with the Lady Dogs.

November 14, 2003 - Volleyball player Meagan Welch records the first "triple-double" by a Georgia player since 1997 with 12 kills, 13 digs, and 11 total blocks in victory over Kentucky.

November 14, 2005 - Olympic gymnast Courtney McCool from Lees Summit, Missouri signs with the Gym Dogs. McCool received a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.

November 14, 2008 - Lady Bulldogs ascended to the No. 1 spot in the College Swim Coaches Association of America dual-meet rankings. Georgia then confirmed its ranking on Friday with a 167-128 victory over No. 7 Auburn at Gabrielsen Natatorium. The victory was Georgia’s 63rd straight at home, a win streak that dates back to the 1995-96 season.
