November 1, 1980 - The 4th ranked Georgia Bulldogs survived a late threat by the #14 ranked South Carolina Gamecocks to win the football game 13-10. All-American, Herschel Walker ran for 219 yards, including a 76-yard TD run to lead the Dawgs to the victory.

November 1, 1997 - No. 14 Georgia defeated No. 6 Florida 37-17 behind Robert Edwards' 124 yards and four TDs and Hines Ward's 203 total yards. The win was the Bulldogs' first over the Gators since 1989.
