September 4, 1999 - UGA V made his last appearance at the Georgia-Utah football game.

September 4, 2006 - The SEC office announced that Georgia senior DE Quentin Moses has been named the league’s Defensive Lineman of the Week. In Georgia’s 48-12 victory over Western Kentucky, Moses had three total tackles which included 2.5 TFLs, one sack and three quarterback hurries.

September 4, 2008 -- Former University of Georgia football letterman, Athens businessman, and long time Bulldog supporter Leroy Dukes died in Athens.  He was 68.
