September 28, 1985 - Freshman backs Tim Worley and Keith Henderson rushed for a combined 169 yards and four TDs to lead Georgia to a 35-21 win over South Carolina.

September 28, 1995 - In the inaugural season of women’s soccer, Mandy Aiken scored 2 goals and Bentley Bickerstaff added an assist as UGA won 2-0 at Furman.

September 28, 2004 - Georgia football play by play announcer Larry Munson and former Lady Bulldog basketball All-American Katrina McClain elected to State of Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. Also, Former Georgia football star Ben Zambiasi elected to Candadian Football League Hall of Fame.
