September 26, 1998 - Freshman Summer Sirmons wins a five-person playoff to capture medalist honors at the Auburn Tiger Invitational in her collegiate debut. Sirmons becomes only the second Lady Bulldog ever to win her UGA opener, a feat that national champion Terri Moody accomplished in 1979 at the Lady Mountaineer Invitational.
September 26, 1992 - Eric Zeier threw for 327 yards as the Bulldogs routed Ole Miss 37-11 on a cool, rainy day in Athens.
September 26, 1964 - Georgia defeats Vanderbilt 7-0, giving Vince Dooley his first victory as Georgia head coach.
