September 20, 1980 - Scott Woerner’s terrific play lead the UGA football team over Clemson in Athens. Woerner’s 67-yard punt return for a TD put the dogs on top 7-0. He, then, intercepted a Clemson pass in the end zone and ran 98 yards to the Clemson 2 yard line. The Dawgs went on to victory, 20-16.

September 20, 2002 - The UGA Athletic Board approves $32 million in facility construction and improvements highlighted by a $21 million, 5,260-seat addition to Sanford Stadium.
