September 18, 1965 - With 2:08 remaining in the game, Kirby Moore hit Pat Hodgson, who lateraled to Bob Taylor for the famous 73-yard "flea-flicker" touchdown as Georgia pulled within one of No. 5 Alabama. Moore then found Hodgson for the two-point conversion to complete the miracle 18-17 upset.
September 18, 1998 - All-SEC tennis player, Allen Miller, was inducted into Georgia's Circle of Honor. Miller teamed up with Ola Malmquist to capture the NCAA doubles tennis title in 1983. Miller also captured the Southern Collegiate Championship in doubles four years in a row from 1981-1984.
September 18, 2005 - Georgia volleyball defeated Georgia Tech 3-0 at the Ramsey Center in front of a crowd of 1,563, the largest since 1995. This victory for the Bulldogs was the first against the Yellow Jackets since 1998.
September 18, 2008 -- Current UGA women’s basketball coach Andy Landers, former men’s basketball coach Hugh Durham, and former All-America football player Terry Hoage were among the nine elected to the State Hall Thursday by the GSHF Honors Court.
