September 11, 1971 - Buzy Rosenberg set a single game school record with 202 punt return yards (on five punts) in 56-25 victory over Oregon State in Athens.

September 11, 1999 - UGA V turns over the torch to UGA VI at the Georgia - SC game on Sept. 11. The game was televised on ESPN 2 to a national audience.

September 11, 2006 - Georgia defensive end Charles Johnson was named the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Week

September 11, 2008 -- The gymnastics and men’s golf teams announced as winners of the annual Faculty Athletics Representatives Award for achieving the top grade-point averages for Georgia’s women’s and men’s athletic squads, respectively, for 2007-08.
