Requirements For Ordering Online
UGA students must be registered for 2006 fall classes before registering online for football tickets. Returning UGA students (students who have earned UGA credit hours prior to the 2006 fall semester) must be registered for fall classes by NOON on August 4, 2006, in order to register for season tickets beginning on August 7th.
UGA students MUST be registered for 6 credit hours to be eligible for the student ticketing process. The classes registered for by a student may change from the time of the registration process until the tickets are picked up. However, despite any changes to a student’s class schedule during this period, the student must be registered for 6 hours to purchase tickets online and still taking a minimum of 6 credit hours in the fall to claim their tickets. Due to the demand for tickets, students taking less than 6 credit hours are not eligible for student football season tickets.
Student activity fees, along with tuition, MUST be paid through the Bursar’s Office before season tickets are picked up in August. For questions regarding the payment of student activity fees, contact the Bursar’s Office at 706-542-1625.
Students must have a valid (most current issue) UGA Student ID Card. Old ID’s (picture on the left side of ID card) will NOT be accepted to pick-up tickets or at the stadium gates on game day).
Students will need a MasterCard or Visa credit/debit card to purchase tickets. If the student does not have a card in their name, the may use the card of a parent/guardian. If a student doesn’t have access to the method of payment options cited above, they may call the Main Ticket Office at 706-542-1231.
Returning Students
The football season ticket registration schedule for Georgia students is based on credit hours earned at UGA. For the registration process, only UGA credit hours earned on or before August 4, 2006, will be counted for registration purposes. Transfer hours and AP credits earned from other institutions will not be factored in for UGA football tickets. Study abroad credits will only be factored in if they are earned through a UGA.
Students with 1 or more credit hours earned at UGA (prior to NOON on 08/04/06) are eligible to begin registering on Monday, August 7, 2006.
Extremely Important: The student ticket registration period for returning students (students who have earned UGA credit hours on or before August 4, 2006) will end promptly at NOON on Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Students eligible to register during this time period will NOT have a second chance to place an order once this deadline has expired. Remaining tickets will open up to incoming freshmen, transfer, & new graduate students.
New Students At UGA
This group of students is made up of freshmen, transfers, and new graduate students whose first enrollment period at UGA is for the fall 2006 semester. ATTENTION NEW STUDENTS: only UGA credit hours earned count in the registration process for football tickets (AP credit hours and credit hours earned at other colleges/universities will not be factored into the priority system for Georgia Football tickets).
New Student Registration
Incoming freshman, transfer students, and new graduate students with 0 credit hours earned at UGA prior to the 2006 fall semester may begin registering for season tickets online beginning August 16, 2006. ATTENTION: The registration period for new students will end promptly at 11:59 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2006. New students eligible to register during this time period will NOT have a second chance to place an order once this deadline has expired.
Important:
Due to the demand for tickets & time limitations between the start of classes and the first home football game, NEW students at UGA MUST be registered for 2006 fall classes by 3:00PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, in order to be eligible to register online for season football tickets. Any new student not registered for fall classes by 3:00PM on August 15th will NOT be eligible to request tickets beginning on August 16th because an online application must be set up for each student.
If the season ticket demand by new students is likely to exceed the number of full season packages remaining once the upper-classmen period has expired, there is a possibility that season packages may be split in order to accommodate as many new students as possible with tickets to at least 3 home games. If ticket packages have to be split, students will only be charged for tickets ($8 per game) to the games they receive when their online request is processed.
UGA Undergraduates Returning To Graduate School
UGA undergraduate students completing their degree at the conclusion of the spring 2006 semester and returning to graduate school in the fall will register for football tickets based on total cumulative hours earned at UGA through August 4, 2006. The credit hours earned during undergraduate years at UGA will count in the football student ticket process, and these students are eligible to register beginning on August 7, 2006, as long as they’ve registered for fall classes by August 4th. If an UGA undergraduate student returning to graduate school is unable to register for fall classes by NOON on August 4th, due to a professional program’s registration schedule, the student will be eligible to register beginning on August 16th as long as classes have been registered for by 3:00PM on August 15th. If a returning graduate student has to wait until August 16th to register, they will still retain their priority based on UGA credit hours earned.
New Graduate Students
New graduate students (first semester at UGA will be the 2006 fall semester) MUST be registered for fall classes by 3:00PM on August 15, 2006. If a graduate student is not registered by this deadline, he/she will NOT be eligible to request season football tickets online beginning on August 16th. Student activity fees must be paid before graduate students are eligible to pick-up their season tickets.
Pick-Up Dates and Times For Student Tickets
August 21 (Mon.): This is the first day for UGA students to begin picking up their season tickets that they purchased online. For this one day only, the student ticket distribution hours will be from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until 8:00 p.m. As usual, tickets will be claimed from Stegeman Coliseum at Ticket Booths 3 and 4.
August 22-25 (Tues. - Fri.): Students continue picking up their season tickets from Stegeman Coliseum between the usual hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
September 5-7 (Tues. - Thurs.): UGA students who ordered and received away game tickets via the online system will claim their tickets from Stegeman Coliseum Ticket Booth no. 4 between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
You may pickup a maximum of 4 away game tickets (to the same game) as long as one of the four is for you. If picking up for other students who may be attending class, you should have those students’ ID cards. Please see the schedule below for pickup of your away game tickets.
No students will be permitted to get in line for ticket pickup until 3:45pm on Tuesday, September 5. Please do not arrive on the Coliseum grounds until this designated time as you are guaranteed to receive your tickets as long as you show up within the designated pickup times. Your tickets have been secured; there is no reason to show up before 3:45pm on Tuesday! If a student has afternoon classes on Tuesday, please go to class, and claim your tickets on Wednesday or Thursday during the designated pickup times. Ticket locations for road games will be randomly distributed this year so there is NO advantage to being the first or last person to pickup away game tickets.
All road game tickets need to be claimed by 8:00pm on Thursday, September 7th
Students wishing to sit together for road games should pickup their away tickets at the same time and from the same ticket window.
Pick-Up Guidelines: Students will be allowed to pick-up a maximum of two season tickets packages. Therefore, if a student cannot pickup his/her own tickets due to a conflict with the pickup dates/times, a friend will have the opportunity to claim the tickets on that student’s behalf. Students picking up season tickets for a friend will need the UGA Student ID of that person to claim the tickets. If the student is unable to bring the actual Student ID of the other student, a photocopy of the student’s ID and driver’s license will suffice (BOTH are needed if using a photocopy of ID to claim tickets). No photocopies will be accepted at the stadium gates on game day!
Important: Students wishing to sit together for home games must pick-up their season tickets at the same time from the same ticket window.
Road Game Information For UGA Students
UGA students will be eligible to register for 2006 road game tickets following the same registration schedule used for requesting home game season tickets. Once a student logs into the ticketing system during their designated time, a link for home season tickets and road tickets will be displayed. For the purchasing process, credit/debit cards will not be charged for home and away tickets until the student demand for road tickets and ticket availability is determined by the Athletic Association.
All orders for home and away tickets will be processed after 5:00PM on Friday, August 18, 2006. Prior to this date, students should make sure that they have sufficient funds in their account to cover the ticket balance due for all tickets requested. The assignment of road game tickets will be based on seniority or credit hours earned at UGA prior to August 4, 2006. Students will receive an email at the address registered on their ticket account confirming the designation of away tickets (both recipients and non-recipients of away game tickets will receive an email from the Athletic Association).
Several Key Requirements for Georgia Football Away Game Tickets
Due to demand and limited availability, UGA students must have 30 credit hours earned at UGA prior to August 4, 2006, and be ordering home season tickets in order to be eligible for road game tickets to South Carolina, Florida, & Auburn this year. All students (new students included) purchasing home game season tickets will be eligible to register for road game tickets to the Ole Miss & Kentucky road games.
Eligibility requirements for requesting road game tickets are the same as for requesting home game season tickets. Please reference the requirements under the “Requirements for Ordering Online” link that is provide on the student ticket homepage.
Pick-Up Dates For Away Game Tickets
September 5-7 (Tuesday – Thursday): Students MUST pick-up road game tickets that were received through the online ticket distribution system from Stegeman Coliseum (Ticket Booth 4) between 8:00AM & 4:00PM. Students wishing to sit together for road games MUST pick-up tickets together! Ticket windows will close promptly at 4:00PM.
Pick-Up Guidelines: Students will be allowed to pick-up away game tickets for themselves and one other person (maximum of two IDs can be carried by one student). Therefore, if a student cannot pickup his/her own tickets due to a conflict with the pickup dates/times, a friend will have the opportunity to claim the tickets on that student’s behalf. Students picking up away game tickets for a friend will need the UGA Student ID of that person to claim the tickets. If the student is unable to bring the actual Student ID of the other student, a photocopy of the student’s ID and driver’s license will suffice (BOTH are needed if using a photocopy of ID to claim tickets). No photocopies will be accepted at the stadium gates on game day!

Scalping Tickets
Under the student ticket policy at UGA, the scalping of student tickets for both home and away games will be strictly prohibited. UGA students who are turned in or caught scalping student tickets will lose the privilege of buying football tickets for all future events. Purchasing student tickets is a privilege, not a right. Price gouging other UGA students who want to support our football program will not be tolerated. Students who have no intention of going to a particular game should NOT buy the ticket. If a student cannot attend a game due to extenuating circumstances, the student may sell his/her ticket to another UGA student for an equal amount to the original cost of the student ticket. The selling of student tickets to non-UGA students will also result in the loss of future football ticket privileges. Students with information related to violations of this policy are encouraged to call the Main Ticket Office at 706-542-1231.
The “DO NOT” list pertaining to student tickets is summarized below:
1) Do not sell a home or away game ticket student ticket for more than the original cost of the ticket.
2) Do not sell a UGA student ticket to someone other than a current UGA student.
3) Do not give your UGA Student ID card to anyone for use with a UGA student ticket. If you pass your ID off to someone else and it is confiscated, you will lose all football privileges for future events.
Student Dependents
Due to the demand for Georgia Football student tickets, student dependents (spouse & children of UGA students) are NOT eligible to register for student football tickets. This is in an effort to accommodate as many UGA students as possible with student tickets. If a married student is working and cannot pick-up his/her tickets on the dates provided, a student’s spouse is eligible to claim the tickets with proper identification. The spouse will need the UGA Student ID card of the student and proper identification to pick-up the tickets.
Entering Sanford Stadium
A University of Georgia Student ID Card is REQUIRED (along with student ticket) for entrance into all games played at Sanford Stadium. Students without a valid UGA Student ID will be turned away from the gates at Sanford Stadium. No driver’s licenses or student schedules will be accepted at the gate. Student IDs from other colleges/universities will NOT be accepted with a UGA student football ticket. Only current UGA Student IDs will be accepted with a UGA student ticket!
Invalid student ID cards will be confiscated at the gate. Also, IDs will be confiscated from students attempting to pass ID cards out of the stadium to another student. Students caught engaging in this behavior will run the risk of losing the privilege to purchase student tickets to future athletic events.
Students are encouraged to support the team by entering Sanford Stadium EARLY! Students waiting to enter the stadium at the last minute will encounter lines at the gate and will run the risk of missing kick-off. SHOW UP EARLY & BE LOUD!
