HOOVER, Ala. --- Another day, another memorable comeback for ninth-ranked Georgia as it scored four runs in the ninth to rally past Vanderbilt 5-4 Friday in front of 3,552 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.

With their latest victory, the Bulldogs (41-18) forced another game with the Commodores (35-24) Saturday at 6:06 p.m. ET on CSS. The winner of the nightcap will advance to the SEC Tournament Championship game on Sunday. Georgia is now 17-2 in its last 19 games.

A day after erasing an early 9-0 deficit, the Bulldogs provided more drama, saving it all for the final frame. Trailing 4-1 heading to the bottom of the ninth, Vanderbilt reliever Casey Weathers struck out Bulldog first baseman Josh Morris. Then, senior Bobby Felmy and Jason Jacobs reached on back-to-back walks. The Bulldogs, who had just three hits at that point, sent up junior pinch-hitter Matt Robbins. He singled to left to load the bases as Vanderbilt looked to Nick Christiani. Sophomore Ryan Peisel (4-for-4, 3 RBI) capped a career-day by delivering a two-run single to cut the deficit to 4-3. Georgia managed just two hits through the first six innings off of Vanderbilt starter Ty Davis and Peisel had both of them.
